Memorial Day 2008

I hope we all remember how much was given so we could enjoy this day and every day in freedom.

War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own
personal safety, is a miserable creature and will never be free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Please let Steve know how much we appreciate him for all he is doing for us. I know that in the media it shows that the majority of American's are against the war but there are still many of us "Americans" who are proud to be "American" and who are behind our military men and women. Thank you and your children also for supporting your husband in his efforts to protect our nation and all the people who are living here and enjoying the freedoms that our Father's have fought for.
By the way great quote and picture. The kids are so adorable and I bet they are so proud of their daddy!
Thank You!
