For my birthday my girlfriends took me to Park Meadows for a night of shopping, dinner at cheesecake factory and lots of laughs! I really do have the best girlfriends! Oh, and who could forget a gift certificate to a spa!!

More Snow
I am a Southern California girl!! When Steve and I left CA on New Year's Day in 2000, I didn't think that 10 years later I would still be living in snow. Boston, Washington DC and now Colorado Springs...... well, it is what it is. So instead of making lemonade out of lemons, we make snowmen out of snow!!

Once a year the spouse's from Steve's department do a big breakfast for them. I love that we do this. I always like to stay a little longer and go to a couple of Steve's classes with him. We talk to the cadets about family life in the military and answer any questions they may have.
And don't tell Steve this but even though I give him a hard time, I do think it's cute that he always introduces me to the cadets as "The Hot Mrs. Hendricks"

Packing Bags
This summer Taylor is going to fly out to CA by herself. She will spend a week with my parents all by herself before we all go out a week later. This all came about after Preston talking about going out to Nebraska each summer for 4H. She can't compete in 4H until she's 8, but she can fly on an airplane alone!
She was so excited when we told her that we had booked her flight. Next thing I knew, she was upstairs packing bags.... only 2 months early!
